Truths exist beyond the facts
These are the facts. We hear it every day. A catchy phrase that ends every argument. But does it actually mean anything?
Facts are a great argument when we have nothing better, but they do not influence the truth. Truths are absolute. Facts are materially conditioned information that can be proven in practice. And that’s great. But they do not determine what is true.
The world is beautiful. Does it matter that terrible things happen in it all the time? Even if not a single good thing happened anywhere in the world for the next million years, it would not change the absolute truth that the universe is perfect.
People are good. And if all the people on Earth decided to be bad for the next thousand years, the facts would categorically contradict this truth. But that doesn’t change its true nature.
Love is real. The facts may be a pile of disappointments, pain, and betrayals. But that does not change the ultimate truth about love, nor does it affect it in any way.
Freedom is the path to human elevation. And even if every day we see thousands of people who, faced with free choice, prefer the fall of the spirit, this cannot affect the eternal truth about the natural need for freedom.
Life has value and meaning. Even when it doesn’t seem that way. Even when everything clearly proves the opposite. It continues to have meaning.
An individual’s beliefs are true. And even if all the people in the world, all the laws of physics, and all the evidence are against those beliefs, their truth remains untouched and absolute.
People can fly and control all aspects of reality with their minds. No one has done it yet. So what?
