The human being is a masterpiece of the Universe. This absolute and almighty organism has decided to create individual souls in order to both evolve and challenge itself. Thanks to humans’ abilities to feel and to make independent decisions, every future of the Universe is possible and undetermined.

It is the individual soul that makes humans special and proves the importance of their existence as a species. Life itself makes every creature valuable and sacred, but humans build upon this with their ability to create based on their personal characteristics. The presence of human beings opens the door to entirely new concepts in the Universe – right and wrong, transient and eternal, important and insignificant, and so on and so forth.

Humans’ superpower is their ability to make choices. They have free will, and not in the way religions imply—that despite this there is only one right choice—but in the truest sense of the word “free.” Through their choices, humans create reality and determine the future. Every decision we make—from whether to open a window to those upon which the fates of millions depend—forges a new path for the world and closes off the alternatives. That is why, with every choice we make, we take responsibility for the world.

Humans are bearers of love. The Universe loves everything within itself, but humans are creators of individual love. Every time someone falls in love, universal love expands. When you love another person, you affirm their individual characteristics in a way that only another individual soul can. This is an entirely new level of recognition that the beloved receives.

A person’s most valuable possession is precisely their values. Through them, they draw the line between right and wrong. Whether they defend them shows whether they are a courageous person who places their principles above the whims of the presence. And truly living according to them is the ultimate proof of one’s strength and worth.

One’s life is a literal reflection of who one is. Your essence is projected into the world through everything you will ever experience—the choices you make, whether you will achieve your goals, whether you will fall in love, whether you will act according to your ideals, and so on. That is why, when anyone looks at the present moment, they can answer the question: “Who am I right now?”

Every person’s mission is to fulfill themselves. This means reaching your deepest essence and expressing it outward into the world: if you are a musician at heart, to truly become the best musician you can be in reality as well; if you are free inside—to live in freedom; if you are a bearer of change—to build your vision for the future. Achieving yourself requires willpower, perseverance, and determination, and it is a path you walk your whole life.

The second way a person can fulfill themselves is through their relationships with others. Once you have affirmed yourself, you can also see how this essence of yours interacts with the individualities of other people. Building deep relationships is one of the most wonderful and meaningful experiences. True friendships give us a sense of belonging, of shared aspirations, and of dedication to someone who deserves it. Romantic love is the most challenging and beautiful way to affirm what you see as significant in the Universe.

A key characteristic of humans is the possession of a body. It is the boundary between their eternal soul and their earthly life. The soul has chosen to receive a body in order to experience what time means. The body is the way we fulfill ourselves through a labyrinth of physical limitations that allow specific aspects of our essence to manifest. If we treat our bodies as a temple, it will be for us a place that strengthens and enhances our energy.

The human is the only living creature capable of depravity and of betraying themselves. A pine tree can be nothing else but the best pine tree it can be, and an elephant can be nothing else but the best elephant it can be. But this peculiarity is not proof of some inherent corruption in humans; on the contrary: it actually means that whoever decides to live according to themselves does so consciously and accepts the price of their choice.

The truth that the possibility of mistakes is right is proven by the fact that humans can turn ugly and unworthy things into beautiful and meaningful ones. Even in the darkest moments and most hopeless situations, people are capable of acting with magnanimity and of creating hope. The human soul is the greatest arena of the battle between good and evil, and it is valuable precisely as such, even if there is no winner.

For the human who has decided to walk their own path with valor and determination, the overman lies ahead. This is the next evolutionary step, where everyone lives fully according to their values, driven by their love and their desire to be better every single day.
