Love

Everything that surrounds us is love. Every entity we know or can imagine is love in a different form. Atoms and molecules are love. People, plants, and animals are love. The chair, the glass, and the carpet are love. The planets, stars, and galaxies—as well. Love extends beyond the material too—emotions, thoughts, ideas, dreams, fears, doubts—they too are part of it.

The Universe itself was born of love. Love caused it to come into being, to become boundlessness, and to create everything that exists within it. The Universe holds affection for every single part of itself as its own child, which it truly is. Love is the ultimate source of life in all its forms and is forever woven into its spirit.

This is why absolutely everything in the Universe is perfect. The proof of its perfection is its very existence, for nothing can arise without the driving force of love. Everything we have already discovered or are yet to discover has its place in the spectrum, and it would be incomplete without it. Faith in this primal love allows us to accept everything that happens to us, confident that in the long run, it will inevitably be for the good.

The absolute love of the Universe includes humans well. People have their own natural place within it, just like every star and every grain of sand. Yet in one way, humans are special, for they are bearers of individual souls. Creating alone was not enough for the Universe—it created a new creator, one in whom its own spirit dwells, but who possesses their own free will and makes their own choices.

Humans are a source of love and expand upon what already exists. Their ability to fall in and to feel love is the greatest power they possess. Through it, they become an almighty being connected to eternity, unafraid, and capable of choosing rightly.

Love can be felt toward anything. Every human being naturally loves nature—the sun warming their face, the grass caressing their bare feet, the water awakening their skin and cleansing their soul. We also come to love the simple things in our daily lives—the melody that brings us to tears, the toy we fell asleep with as children, or the scent of freshly baked bread that reminds us of home.

The other kind of love that must be mentioned separately is the love for humanity. It is not always on the surface or easily accessible. On the contrary, it is difficult, because of that deeply ingrained human tendency to betray one’s own nature and succumb to corruption. Yet at our most authentic level, all humans are interconnected, and nothing is more natural than for this bond to exist precisely in the form of love.

The love that requires the greatest courage and depth is individual love for another human being. To love someone is to leave your imprint upon the world—“This is who I am, and this is what I see as beautiful and right; therefore, I devote my love to it.” Falling in love is a promise to yourself and to the other person to always give the very best of who you are, in order to be worthy of that love.

When you come to love someone, you leave behind all limitations—both from the outer and the inner world. For love, there are no conditions, obstacles, or requirements. You move forward with an open heart, unaffected by the transient qualities of the other person. You can fall in love with someone you never imagined you would even notice—someone who doesn’t look as you expected or think as you might wish—because love is ultimately a connection of souls, not a matching of traits.

A fundamental trait of love is that it is eternal. It continues to exist even through difficult periods, amid the traps of time, fatigue, boredom, and disappointment—because to love, these are mere minor obstacles, not something that can destroy it. Once born, love remains forever a part of the Universe’s energy. To love someone is the greatest responsibility you can take on, for in doing so, you bind yourself to them for eternity. Yes, its form and the context will change, but it will remain just as strong and vital to your journeys as souls.

The ability to feel love is the greatest power you possess. It is inherent in every human being, yet turning it into reality within the scope of this life requires awareness and courage. Anyone who has felt love knows with absolute certainty why they are on this earth and how much wonder exists in life. Awareness allows us to see ourselves as creators and as beings of intrinsic value. Loving ourselves is one of the primary prerequisites for being able to give that love to another. Courage is what enables us to bring our love beyond ourselves—out into the external world, where it can meet the individual essences of other human beings.

Through loving you become the best version of yourself—whether that love is directed toward nature, the world, your family, your friends, or your romantic partner. A person who truly loves never settles for anything less than perfection. They always choose what is best for their love, no matter how many risks that choice may carry. They grow and evolve constantly so that each day may be an ode to their love. When you love, you are in complete harmony with all that is most sublime and pure in the Cosmos.
