The Individual is the supreme judge
“We can’t judge.” I hear it all the time and from everywhere. And while I was wondering exactly how wrong that statement is, I suddenly found it to be quite true. Yes, you can’t judge. But I can.
The individual is the ultimate judge. It divides the world into right and wrong, superior and inferior, truth and falsehood. The individual divides reality into sections. Some it burns, others it helps to grow, and thirds it creates out of itself. The Overman says “Yes” and “No” because only it has the power to go beyond the “maybe.”
To think is to judge. And when a thinking individual appears on the horizon, everything else is subject to re-evaluation. Everything must be judged and receive its verdict. The human mind is not a mirror but a fountain. It analyzes, defines, and reinvents. Thought is always ready to discard the unnecessary and to meet the painful blows of the new. All human prisons have been broken down thanks to someone daring to doubt their truth. That he dared to give his mind freedom and condemn the illusion as illusory and the reality as real.
To love is to judge. To judge according to the highest standard imaginable and to declare “You deserve to be loved with all my soul.” There is nothing more worthy and right than that.
And he who can love and think not only has the ability to judge, it is his duty to do so. He has a responsibility to himself and the world to say “Enough!” when hearts deny their own beating and sink into oblivion. He must separate the diamonds from the artificial imitations and create a landscape that the sun will shine on with pride. He owes it to himself to fight to the end for the truth despite the fact that no one else can see it. He must become a fanatic of passion, a murderer of midnight rays, a desert thrill, an insanity. The blind have no duty to anyone, but when you have seen the truth you must walk the path towards it to the last step.
In the world of ordinary people, there are no judgments. There everyone has an opinion. A strong and healthy body is no more beautiful than a weak or deformed one, vulgarity equals logically proven argument, and spoiled nonsense is as important as deep emotion. No one is bad. No one is judging. No one thinks. No one feels. So far, so good. But there seems to be something else missing to achieve the ideal society… Hmmm. What could it be? Ah, yes. A dead institution to judge everyone. Humanity has decided that those who know and love you have no right to judge you, but those who know nothing about you, and don’t care, do. Again, brilliant logic. An individual’s natural freedom to rule his universe has been taken away so that a bunch of spineless nobodies can judge him according to the morality of the collectivists. Of course, this is the only possible outcome of an equation whose constant is the refusal of individuals to judge for themselves. Not just stupidity, but perversion, turning people against their own nature.
But in addition to judging, the individual desires to be judged. And since the only ones who can judge it are other individuals , it will accept their judgments with honor. The most important verdict always remains the one you give yourself, but when one worthy person judges another, it is the highest show of respect. To look him in the eye and shout, “How dare you not be great!” is Absolute. To share with him your pain that a true person has not reached his full potential. To confess to him that you see everything in his eyes and your admiration for him is so great that it could only manifest in the form of contempt for the fact that the Overman has not yet erupted from his chest.
That is why I tell you to judge. Judge the abysses for not being deep enough, judge the battles for not being devastating enough, judge the demons for not being terrifying enough, judge your fears for being too weak to cause you to destroy them, judge the dew for not being pure enough and judge love for allowing you to breathe. And when you find what is greatest for you, judge it as the Absolute and accept it into your Soul. Judge, not for God, but for the Overman! Judge!
