Freedom

Freedom is the highest human value, which is fundamental to the existence of the individual. Without it, a person would not have the ability to choose and shape reality through their own will, and therefore nothing beautiful could exist. Freedom is the first prerequisite for progress. In order for a person to develop, they must be free to take whatever path they choose and to realize their full potential as they see fit.

Freedom is a value in and of itself. We need not ask ourselves what we wish to be free from, nor why we desire to be free. The desire to be free is enough. Freedom is the oxygen of the soul. A person needs freedom to be themselves—to have the opportunity to choose, to lose themselves, and to rediscover themselves. Without freedom, Good and Evil become one and the same, because choosing between them is impossible. Freedom matters at every level. From the smallest decisions—such as what juice to drink today or how to dress—to our biggest decisions about who we want to be and what our lives should look like.

Freedom is primordial and inviolable. Every person is born free, and freedom is an inherent given in the Universe. Life exists amid infinite possibilities and possesses the ability to choose whichever one desires. Therefore, regardless of one’s qualities or life path, every person has the freedom to make decisions according to their own views.

Freedom is absolute. There can be no such thing as half a freedom. There can be no freedom that exists in conjunction with conditions. To be free means to have the ability to do whatever you want. Absolutely anything. To walk naked through the streets, to sing in the library, to pay no heed to anything or anyone, to break every rule, to believe in whatever you choose, and to live according to your own values. Freedom does not end where the freedom of others begins, because it is infinite. Freedom encompasses every single action, including the possibility of non-freedom. A person has the freedom to choose to give up their freedom and become a slave to the decisions of others. A person can also choose to take away the freedom of others, because every single choice is possible in the universe.

Freedom is a given, but at the same time, it must be attained. The superhuman must free himself from all external and internal constraints in order to reach his highest form.

Internal limitations stem from our weaknesses and fears. The traumas we carry that subconsciously control our behavior. The fear that forces us to hide in our comfort zone and prevents us from getting where we’d like to go. The shame that prevents us from expressing ourselves the way we actually would if we were free from our inner demons. The very idea of freedom also instills fear in itself, because it comes with a very heavy responsibility. Letting someone else decide for you is easy. It’s convenient. Over time, it even becomes pleasant. Deciding for yourself and standing by your decisions requires courage and strength of spirit.

External constraints always come from society. People often make the mistake of thinking that because a person is born into a particular society, they are therefore obligated to sacrifice their freedom for it. But in fact, the opposite is true. It is the free individual who is primary. He is the first. The one who has been here since the dawn of time, long before societies existed. To become a person, one must free oneself from social pressure and transcend the limitations imposed by the system. The system does not need free people; it needs obedience. That is why a person must remain true to their inner need for freedom.

The system attacks freedom in two main ways, both designed to subjugate the individual.

The first is through direct aggression. The system does not hesitate to use threats and violence, including resorting to the physical destruction of those who desire freedom. When society does not want free thought and spirit, rebellion is imperative. Freedom stands above all else and is the most worthy cause. History has shown that society is often not ready for freedom. But that does not matter. Once the individual is ready, the world must follow, rather than trying to cage them.

The second way is through rights. Freedom and human rights are not synonymous. Quite the contrary. The idea that someone can grant you the right to do something is fundamentally flawed. A person is born with the right to everything. Rights cannot be granted. They can only be taken away. If someone claims to grant rights, tomorrow they will be the one who believes they have the right to take them back. Rights are crumbs of bread thrown to people to lull them into continuing to be obedient cogs in the system. And in this day and age, the illusion of rights is the most dangerous trap. Rights are the trap that can trap the individual just one step away from true freedom, leaving them forever stuck on that step.

Freedom is a fundamental value, and being free is the highest goal. And our ability to exercise our freedom and to choose is what makes us human.
