Genuine love lasts forever. An infatuation fades away. So one strategy is just to wait and see, although not the best one.

Genuine love has eternity in mind so it wants things to happen in the best possible way even if not right away. An infatuation wants things to happen right now, no matter the price.

Genuine love is felt in the lower part of the chest and the stomach. Infatuations are felt in the upper chest and the throat.

Genuine love wants the best for both people and is willing to sacrifice togetherness for rightness when necessary. An infatuation cannot sacrifice togetherness because it is the only thing that feeds it.
