Grease is an iconic musical that most people associate with the 1978 film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Now it has come to life on the Bulgarian stage, giving us the opportunity to enjoy the show live.

The legendary songs from Grease were performed excellently with impressive vocals and choreography, conveying just the right captivating energy. Rizo and Sandy stood out with their shocking virtuosity in singing, while the boys particularly excelled in the dancing.

Each actor was perfectly cast and performed their role to perfection. Their wonderful presence and well-constructed reality immerse the viewer in their universe from the very beginning.

The plot proves that stereotypes have their charm. Pink girls and boys in black leather jackets. The good girl and the bad boy fall in love. And that shakes everything up. A very charming story that delights with its purity and makes us appreciate the charm of masculine and feminine energy.
The performance paid special attention to the supporting characters, which worked out really well, as they provided some of the strongest moments, both in terms of motifs and music.

The sets were tastefully chosen and perfectly matched the spirit of the play. There was both scale and attention to detail, which further drew the audience into the reality of the performance. The only unsuccessful props were Sandy’s wigs.

The show strikes a perfect balance between humor and drama, presenting us with the true essence of musical theater at its finest. The dialogue was of a high standard, and the songs always conveyed something meaningful about the characters’ world.
The technique of often having things happening on stage and in the background was also very successful, creating the feeling that we were in a real school.
