Admiration – one of the pillars of love
Love can involve many feelings – trust, respect, understanding, tenderness, affection, etc. Admiration is perhaps the most inescapable among them, for love is precisely seeing an unknown cosmic explosion in the personality of the other person.
Admiration is a discovery of value, an ode to beauty and a glimpse of higher peaks. It opens new horizons in our souls and gives us a fuller understanding of the universe. Through it we have the opportunity to remain still in existence for a moment and enjoy its inexhaustible power. At the same time, it is an inspiration to keep searching for new faces of perfection, both in the world around us and in ourselves.
Admiration is an affirmation that the other is better than you at something. If this premise is missing, love cannot exist simply because no one would fall in love with a person to whom they are completely superior. So you have something you insist on keeping in the universe at all costs. And you are also proud that you can appreciate that greatness and be its equal.
True love is to spend years together and to still be able to look at the other person and feel a new wave of admiration. That way you confirm what you’ve known all this time, but you also discover its new manifestation right at that moment. And a truly worthy person deserves this appreciation because they stand for their own self every day of their life.
The greater a man is, the more significant is his admiration. Little souls are impressed by everything or notice nothing at all. But a great man is one who has experienced much, felt much and suffered much. Their soul can only be touched by the purest streams and the darkest storms. That is why the admiration of a worthy human being is one of the greatest recognitions that a person can receive.
Through admiration, one praises the other person, oneself and the whole universe. It is a supreme affirmation of the world and existence and a fundamental motivation for growth and life.
